Shuanglong Successfully Delivers China’s First 20m³ Plow Blade Reactor for Calcium Soap Industry
In 2024, Shuanglong received an international order for a custom-built 20-cubic-meter plow blade reactor. After eight months of dedicated design and manufacturing, the unit was successfully delivered to a customer in Indonesia in October this year.
This advanced reactor integrates multiple processes—mixing, reaction, drying, and cooling—into a single system, primarily for blending fatty acids and calcium carbonate materials. To meet the specific requirements of calcium soap production, Shuanglong enhanced the traditional plow mixer design with several key improvements:
- Transmission power capable of withstanding the torque required during reactions
- High speed chopper equipped with Burgmann mechanical seals and a cooling circulation system
- Reinforced main shaft and plow head design
- External heating/cooling jacket
- Top-mounted steam discharge device
- Compliance with ASME pressure vessel design and manufacturing standards
Starting from late 2024, the reactor's cylinder was designed and manufactured in accordance with ASME standards. Each welding stage underwent non-destructive testing, and the cylinder was pressure-tested and certified. Following completion of the cylinder, the main shaft, fly blades, discharge valve, and transmission drive were assembled and inspected step by step.
The reactor was successfully exported and delivered, receiving high satisfaction from the client for its product quality and performance.
This milestone marks a significant achievement in Shuanglong’s capability to supply specialized, high-performance mixing and reaction equipment for the global market.
