Vertical Ribbon Mixer consists of cone & vertical shape vessel body, drive unit, helical blades and chopper. The mixing blade is designed for three-dimensional movement of materials to create helical material upwards flow along the periphery of vessel and gravity downward flow in the center at optimum mixing quality. During this continuous operation, material particles and heat are exchanged quickly which leads to a homogeneous product. Besides, the material particles are mixed with minimal mechanical and thermal stress, which makes this type of mixer a good solution for fragile and heat sensitive product. Vertical Blender can promise perfect mixing homogeneity, even big wide range mixing ratio and complete discharge without any dead space. Multi functions can also be achieved to perform uniform, fast and contamination-free dry powder mixing, drying, evaporation, heat treatment, reactions, cooling or dosage of active ingredients in a single unit.

Detailed Description

A. Cleaning of mixing parts and cylinder
The main mixing component is a vertical spiral belt; the large quick-opening door on the side makes cleaning the cylinder convenient and efficient.

B. Drive form
The mixer drive assembly and feeding port are arranged on the top of the mixer. The drive form is generally a motor directly connected to a gear reducer.

C. Pneumatic discharging
The pneumatic discharge port arranged at the bottom of the cylinder ensures clean and fast discharge with little residue.

D. Auxiliary mixing
The flying knife arranged on the side of the barrel is directly connected to the motor, which plays a role in assisting mixing and dispersing the cohesive and fast materials.

E. Liquid spray pipe
The liquid spray pipe that penetrates from the main shaft of the reducer leads all the way to the center of the stirring shaft. The picture shows the rotary joint of the liquid inlet.

F. Spray effect
The liquid spray pipe connected from the hollow main shaft rotates with the main shaft, so that the spray effect of the atomizing nozzle is better.
Vertical Ribbon Mixer with CIP
S&L vertical mixers are able to achieve optimal performance for hygienic production by implementing a Clean-in-Place (CIP) system. This feature can be added to all of our models. CIP is an efficient cleaning process that requires some manual preparation steps, such as installing a washing device. Once installed, the system performs a complete cleaning in fully automatic mode through PLC technology. Drying with air is necessary after wet cleaning. With no cross-contamination between batches, you can be assured of the quality of your finished products.
- Two 360-degree rotating spray nozzles are symmetrically arranged on the top of the vessel, forming a 3-meter diameter spherical rotating water curtain under a water pressure of 5 bar. The dual spray nozzles can provide full coverage of the inner surface of the vessel.
- The rotating spray nozzles rotate at a fixed speed, ensuring full coverage of the inner surface of the tank using different atomized fan shapes.
- The spray nozzles are hydraulically driven and do not require external power. They are equipped with ceramic bearings.
- The spray nozzles are designed to be externally mounted through the vessel, facilitating replacement and maintenance.
